Great article and definitely spot on. I studied abroad with the Semester at Sea program in 2008 and it was by and far the most rewarding experience of my life. When I graduated college in 2010 and couldn't find a job I wanted, having knowledge of the world outside of the US gave me the confidence to move abroad where jobs were more plentiful and where living costs were low enough that I could tackle my student loan debts.

When I do move home, I know my time spend studying, living, and working abroad will help me land the right job.
