I’ve thought about writing an e-book or a print-on-demand book, but I haven’t found anything I’m enthusiastic enough about to write extensively on. Seminars and consulting sound interesting, but I’m admittedly ignorant when it comes to knowing how to get going on something like that.

Agreed, which is why you don’t see those obnoxious ads here. I will only put ads up if they are completely beneficial to the reader. Have you considered writing an e-book, holding a seminar, or consulting on the side?

To answer your first question: if I could make a significant amount of money from blogging, there is little doubt that I would. By that I mean if I could make more than $200 (or so) in a month by having sponsored ads on my blog I would go for it. But given the number of readers I have now and the fact that I’m trying to grow my readership, the last thing I want to do is subject anyone to unnecessary or obnoxious content that could distract from my stuff in any way. The cost would surely outweigh the twelve bucks per month I might earn.
