What about if your personal style revolves around jeans and your office is business casual? How do you work your personal style into your work wardrobe Monday-Thursday (Fridays are casual days)?

I had a personal dilemma with dressing for an interview a couple weeks ago. I knew the "appropriate" thing to do was to wear a collared shirt, but it really wasn't ME! I didn't want to to buy something I'd never wear again, and come off as a boring dime a dozen candidate. I ended up going with a professional looking dress with some classy jewelry and cashmere scarf. I wanted to say serious, put together, professional but fun. Plus, I ended up looking a lot more comfortable and like myself than if I had worn the dumb collared shirt.

Keeping your own style at work is super important and super hard at times! I've always struggled with this myself so I'm glad you addressed the topic. In the end your personal brand of how you dress yourself will be more valuable then blending in with the crowd.
