It was weird - wasn't it? Almost like we both knew it would happen, one way or another. To be talking so much about taking the leap and then, well, sort of being FORCED to take the leap. I couldn't be happier - you know this. It's terrifying and exciting all at the same time, and sways back and forth between the two - but I love that I can tell people when I talk to them that I am truly doing what I love, "living the dream" so to speak - and it gives me the opportunity to really excel at what I know I can do - whereas before I had to tuck my tail and do only what I was told. It's a (very) freeing experience - and I can't wait to be discussing what both of us are doing a month, six months, a year from today - it's going to be a wild ride! :)

Regarding credit ratings... these types of arbitrary criteria scream lazy recruiting to me. Is it true that someone with lower credit is statistically less likely to be a good employee than someone with good credit? Maybe. But that doesn't prove causation. Anyone who has studied statistics can tell you that two variables can be related for no apparent reason, and aggregating the numbers only tells you something about the average person in each group, not any individual person.
