Have You Found “The One”?

I recently had a conversation with some of my taken lady friends. One of my friends knew her husband was “the one” after the first kiss. Another one of my friends has been dating a great guy for multiple years and still isn’t sure if he is “the one.”

So I ask- how do you know?  Is there a light that goes off in your head? Do alarms sound off in your ears? How do you know someone is “the one” for you?

I wonder if it is based on personality type—those lucky romantics who just dive in and let go might get the immediate notification of finding “the one”. Control freaks (like me) might never know if someone is “the one” until they’ve made a spreadsheet calculating the success rate and compatibility level between you and your partner.

Or will we ever really know if we’ve found “the one”. There are a whole lot of people on this planet. There might just be someone else out there more compatible to you than your current partner. But will you ever find them? Who knows. (Womp womp… I’m a downer).

So anyways- I’m interested. Are you with your “one”? How did you know? Or do you think you have “the one” out there waiting for you?
