Now matter your age, none of us is guaranteed another day. So having a bucket list isn’t just for elders.  And, by listing out the things you really are passionate about doing, you’ll start focusing on living in the present moment.  Plus, experiencing what you’re passionate about makes it easier to have gratitude for life and what it offers.

Feeling stuck for ideas for your bucket list? We’ve compiled a list of the five most popular activities to get you inspired!

Learn A New Language

Many people dream of adding another language to their vocabulary, and it’s one of the most popular bucket list ideas.

The best part about learning a language is that you can get a grip on the fundamentals relatively cheaply.  In fact, according to Lottoland’s list of the most popular bucket list ideas, it’s the only one that can be done for free. With apps like Memrise and DuoLingo you can practice wherever, whenever and many people have praise their teaching ability.

However, to get a really good grasp of any language you have to immerse yourself in it, and move away.   Which of course ticks off another popular bucket list task – living abroad.

Visit The Grand Canyon

One of the Seven Natural Wonders of the World, the Grand Canyon stretches for 277 miles and is one of the most spectacular sights in the world.

Forged by the Colorado river, it is accessible by helicopter, plane, car and boat, giving tourists a whole host of great ways to visit.

It’s also just a short distance from Las Vegas, meaning you can combine a stunning natural wonder with the mayhem of the Strip.

See The Northern Lights

The famous light display is visible in both the Arctic and Antarctic regions. But most people prefer to head north to places in Iceland, Norway or Canada in order to see the spectacular displays.

Catching a glimpse of the Aurora can be tricky though.   You might have to spend a few weeks in a strange new place, but that will give you plenty of time to explore.

Swim With Dolphins

Dolphins are famous for their intelligence, and are known to help humans who get into trouble at sea. Taking a swim with them has become many people’s top bucket list aspiration.

Most people choose to head to places like Orlando Florida to find their dolphin adventure.   If you’re young enough to still have kids in tow, there’s no need to wonder what to do in Palm Beach this weekend.  Kids love the dolphins, too. Which would be the perfect place to start our next bucket list idea…

Go On An American Road Trip

Driving across America has been romanticized by countless songs and movies.   And of course that’s just contributed to it becoming such a popular activity.

With so many amazing natural sights and cities to see, it’s a great way to experience America.   From the postcard sights to the day-to-day lives of Americans, a road trip allows you to get up close and personal.
