3 Off The Radar Holiday Destinations

I’ve heard the cliche “it’s a small world” as many times as you have. When I look around at all the places I haven’t been, I’m not so sure I agree! There’s more to see and experience out there than anyone can do in a lifetime! With so many choices, if you’re planning a getaway why not consider those that aren’t on the travel channel multiple times per year? I’ve found three that are pretty amazing and probably not places you’ve heard of.

Tenerife

Tenerife is the largest of the Canary Islands, and was mostly undeveloped prior to 1970. While it’s become a popular holiday destination, it’s not one that your average travel agent will usually suggest. But with stunning resorts like Playa las Americas and Los Cristianos, inspiring geology and geography, and great weather, it’s a natural to be high on the list of possible perfect vacation spots.

From a pine-forested national park to spectacular beaches, from shopping to whale watching to sprawling golf courses, there’s something for everyone on this island you may never want to return home from.

Costa Brava

Costa Brava translates to “wild coast,” and there’s seemingly no end to remote coves and beaches. This fantasy land of Spanish coastline isn’t just beaches, however. It features nightlife and the best of a wide range of musical styles, theatre and dance and attracts world-class acts.

For the more adventuresome, it’s adjacent to Massif Montenegre National Park. The haven for hiking spans a large area along the coast, running behind the resorts and beaches.

Achladies

Really want to get away from it all? Consider Archladies, Greece. There are tranquil relaxing beaches, and still they’re just a short distance from quaint Greek villages. While not a hotbed of partying, those who visit here almost always come back again to escape from the fast-moving world we live in. Just imagine yourself under the palm fronds on that serene beach!
