Decorate Your Apartment: Quick Bathroom Face Lift (Part 2)

My goal in decorating our apartment is two-fold.

  1. Make our apartment feel more like a home
  2. Become more daring in my design choices (think pattern, colors, textures, etc).

I have a running list of decorating ideas, which you can about read here.

As for this post, it is the “part 2” of a “part 1” that can be found here.  Check it out to see how I began to conquer my to-do list.

Today, I feel like the Cowardly Lion, at the end of Wizard of Oz, after he gets his bravery medal.  Why?  Well, I committed to a bold color for the bathroom!  (High fives anyone?!)

I knew I wanted a cheery pop.  Let me emphasize the POP of color is not HUGE…  but is a step in the right direction.  I was thinking green, yellow, or coral which made me think of the beach, summer time, and warmth.  Here are some Pinterest finds that were my guiding inspiration:

Which colors do you like?  I found some pretty towels at various stores. Now I need one of those cool towel warmers to to hang them on!”

I settled on… Drum Roll PLEASE… a warm, happy marigold.  The marigold color is just perfect and      I feel like it is a little sunshine in our window-less bathroom.

BONUS!

When I was looking at towel colors at BB&B, I found this patterned beauty.  She is out of the classic Cape Cod look but I am committed to trying new things, right?

Have you tried anything new lately?
