How do you Overcome your Struggle with Fitness Motivation?

Do you feel as though you are having a hard time working out? Maybe you can’t quite pinpoint the reason why you aren’t seeing the results you want. Either way, if you are having a hard time staying motivated then now is the time for you to overcome that and make a positive change for yourself. Want to find out more? Simply take a look below.

Write down your Feelings

The first thing that you need to try and do is keep a journal so you can write down how you feel after you have trained. If you are able to track your workouts and if you are able to add notes to each activity then you can take a step back and see what’s bringing you down. If you feel your best after lifting weights and your worst after cardio then this could indicate that you need to lessen up on the exercise bike. Little things like this can help you to make the right changes in your life.

Create a Solid Routine

It’s very easy for you to keep up with your fitness workouts if you make it part of your routine. It shouldn’t be something you “fit in” whenever everything else allows for it. Instead, put it on your calendar, just like any other important appointment. If you treat your fitness like it’s a priority, it will be.

Mix Things Up

Although routine is important, you do need to make sure that you are not doing the same thing over and over again. Keep your mind and your body very curious so you can be excited for what the next day brings. You can choose to go swimming or you can even go on a bike ride if you want. Either way, mixing things up helps you to use different muscle groups and you may even find that it helps to keep things interesting too.

Use a Calendar

If you can put your workouts in your calendar every single week then you can make sure that you don’t run out of time for your fitness journey. Think of your workout as being an appointment with yourself. If you can book yourself slots in the week then this will help you to prioritise everything within your schedule. Just make sure that you do not overcommit because if you do then you may find that you end up struggling to keep up with the plans that you have made and this can leave you feeling somewhat depleted when it comes to your motivation.

Eat Right

You’ll find it difficult to have the physical and mental energy you need if you have a diet of junk food. Let’s face it. If you fed your dog some of the garbage you eat, instead of good dog food, his health would decline and he wouldn’t be the playful, energetic critter you love. The same goes for you. You MUST support yourself with healthy foods.

So there are many ways that you can overcome your fitness struggles and if you follow this guide, you should find that it is more than possible for you to make a positive change without worrying about compromising your current schedule.
