4 Ways To Make Your Product Look Attractive To Retailers

Getting your new product into retail shelves and selling to make a good profit as you had dreamed is possible, but only with the right strategy. Just because your product is feature-rich doesn’t mean retailers are going to purchase it and give it a place on their fast-selling shelves. Think of your product as the new kid in town and it has thousands of products to compete against.

So how are you doing to stand out and make your product look more appealing to retailers? Here are some tips to help you out:

Make a great first impression

Present your offering in an organized manner. For example, highlight how your product is different from its competitors by using price points, demographics, or the theme. A retailer is more likely to stock what you sell when they sense that you’re genuinely enthusiastic about it.

To capture their full attention, make a quick call to see when they are available to see your product and listen to your brief. Wednesday or Thursday morning can be an ideal time for them to view your wares, but be respectful if they are preparing their inventory and wait for a more convenient day.

Make your packaging shine

In the world of retail, enhancing the appearance of your product is a requirement for successful retail positioning. The packaging, as a result, is going to be crucial; a packaging that adopts the existing needs of a store outlet is likely to be preferred over just plain packaging for a product.

Creative Displays Now showcases how companies can enhance their brands in retail environments with custom packaging. There are options ranging from corrugated boxes to chipboard folding cartons, so you can choose a package design depending on the nature of your product. Also, you can ask the retailers which of the packaging they prefer before getting a custom one made. Branding: Transform Your Business By Building Your Brand The Right Way! Pitch in person

Don’t make the mistake of introducing your product through an email or a private message on Facebook; go directly to the store so that the retailer can get their eyes on your item. It also gives them an opportunity to ask questions and you get the opportunity to become a reliable partner.

Bringing your product is also important as retailers rarely make a decision without touching, viewing, and even smelling the item. It’s more than a matter of judging product quality. They also need to access how the product appears in the rest of the inventory, in terms of aesthetics, shelving, pricing, and selection. They aim to sell something new or something that has a high demand but variation from existing models.

Show your marketing drive

Convince the store that you’ll make efforts to promote your product and lure customers to the retail shop. Even if you have a markup that doesn’t go down well with most retailers, making a difference with marketing can still get your product accepted. Retailers love foot traffic more than anything. And of course, it helps when customers already like the product.

Creating an event for the product launch is an easy way to get people to come to the store. You can then keep following up with audience online and offline to drive foot traffic to a store; keep this aspect ongoing, and you’ll be on your way to a fruitful relation with the retailer.
