Health and Fitness

You’ll find this in any top tips you read, because it is vitally important. Being healthy and fit will improve you as a person and your moods. You don’t have to go to the gym four times a week to be healthy, but just taking short walks regularly, stretching or attending a yoga class. These small steps will help you become healthier and much happier. Diet also plays a big part.  The mantra is “You are what you eat” and it is true. If you are not eating a healthy balanced diet, you aren’t going to feel healthy and balanced in your self.

New Clothes

Treat yourself! A new wardrobe now and then can give you feeling that you are worth it. Looking good in a brand-new dress can make a world of difference compared to going out in the same outfit you’ve had for months! Make sure when you leave the house you aren’t just throwing any old clothes on but you are presenting yourself properly. Looking good will instill that confidence in you and might get you turning some heads as a bonus!

Write about your past

One of the best ways to get over and come to terms with issues in your past that have led to your issues is to write about them. This isn’t a tip on how to write a novel (you can do that if you want!) but more just putting your thoughts down and into something tangible. The people around you are the best support network. More often than not, when you are depressed or feeling helpless, the last thing you want to do is socialise. However, your friends and family can be the best support network and one that won’t judge you. Make sure you are keeping in touch with them and not letting things slip away to the point where you feel you can’t talk to anyone.

Do what makes you happy

Obviously, this comes with several caveats, including whether what currently makes you happy is bad for you (eating chocolate and watching movies!) But make sure you are putting time into you. See it as an investment.  You are putting the time into you and your hobbies and likes. The return on that investment will be you becoming happier and it touching other areas in your life for the better.
