3 Amazing Thailand Resort Experiences

If you haven’t been to Thailand, you’re edging towards being in the minority.  The capital, Bangkok,  is host to over 16 million visitors annually.  But Thailand offers much more than just Bangkok, which is a destination worth visiting on its own.  If you’re planning a major holiday or vacation, there’s good reason to put Thailand at the top of your list.
It’s been a few years since I visited, but the memories are still vivid and pleasant.  Whether your interests tend more towards cultural, natural, or historical,  you’ll find plenty to capture your attention.  And for the inner shopper lurking inside you, don’t miss the huge malls and shopping areas, some of which operate all night long!

Impressive.  That’s Thailand.

What I was most impressed with was the people.  I was there for three weeks, and found that literally everyone was polite beyond compare.  I felt like an honored guest.  That makes it really easy to feel at ease and relax, even when you’re busy pursuing the sights.
You may not think so by looking at me, but I’m a foodie.  If I didn’t control myself I’d be . . . well, out of control!  And there’s plenty of incredible temptations that demand indulgence.  Some were new to me, and so delicious they were almost orgasmic.  There’s just no better way to describe them!
With those enticements, all that’s left is to choose a perfect resort.

Choosing A Resort

Thailand is only a little bigger than the U.S. state of California, or about twice the size of the U.K.  But it’s landscape varies from stunning sandy beaches washed by crystal waters to remote mountain villages to the international city of Bangkok.  In all of them, there are great choices for vacation resorts.  If you’ve got the time and inclination, you may want to move your travel base from one resort to another to accommodate experiencing as much of Thailand as possible.  Here are three that won’t disappoint!

Bangkok

Bangkok is a city of over six million population, but it’s not your ordinary metropolitan gray.  Filled with stunning ornate shrines, huge shopping areas, and a humming night life, there’s enough here to keep you busy for days if not weeks.  Top that off with the availability of very reasonably priced five star resorts, and it’s travelers nirvana.

A good example is the S31 resort.  S31 Sukhumvit Hotel Bangkok is located in the Sukhumvit area, an exclusive residential and lifestyle district in the Thai capital. This place is home to numerous hip clubs and bars, restaurants, and malls. From here, the accommodation is only 0.6 km from the Prompong Skytrain Station, and 20.6 km from Don Mueang International Airport and Suvarnabhumi International Airport. With the proximity of S31 Sukhumvit Hotel’s location to the following points of interest, convenience is always within reach.

  • EmQuartier shopping mall – 5 minute walk
  • The Emporium shopping mall – 0.8 km or a 10-minute walk
  • Villa Market – 500 meters or a 6-minute walk
  • Terminal 21 Shopping Mall – 10-minute walk
  • Queen Sirikit National Convention Center – 8-minute drive

Koh Tao

If you’re looking for more of the tropical paradise, Thailand has lots to offer.  With some of the world’s most beautiful beaches, you’ll be tempted to never go home, and many do!  Thailand is home to a huge expatriate population, and is listed as one of the top 5 locations for expats, as they’re called.  Once you’re there, you’ll see why.
A perfect example of the many beach paradise resorts is Naroua’s Koh Tao Luxury Villas.  They offer luxury travelers a natural wilderness setting with a mountain-top view and all the Amenities of five-star accommodation. With amazing views of the sea and surrounding landscape, combined with a large, open space villa, you and your family can enjoy an experience in Thailand like none other.

Phuket

Phuket is a rainforested and mountainous island in the south of Thailand.  It’s a unique combination of tropical resort and swinging hot spot.  If you’re into the full immersion of paradise by day and party by night, this may be your perfect choice.   On the other hand, there are some off-the-radar options in Phuket that are simply heavenly and will make you forget the craziness of the modern world.  Personally, I tend toward the latter.

If you agree, you’ll want to consider  Keemala.   It’s  nestled well away from the crowds and overlooking Kamala Village and the Andaman Sea. Positioned in the hills and within the lush woodlands, Keemala offers a retreat from every day life and welcomes you in to an enchanting evergreen wonderland.
