The Best Way to Help Others Succeed is to Show Them That It’s Possible

There’s something about seeing concrete evidence that makes it easier to motivate others to follow suit. This is especially true when it comes to financial success. Really, the best way to tell others that they can do it is by showing them what we call “proof of concept”.

In fact, this is one of the reasons why I founded my podcast, Jefas y Jevas. Women need role models, we cannot aspire to what we cannot see. Women do not tend to talk about money, much less talk about money in public, while men have historically been more related to money. Did you know that women prefer to talk about clothes and sex before talking about money? We need to put money in our conversation, be it our personal finances, learn how we can put our money to production, have financial education. In the same way we need to know and master the numbers of our companies, we cannot grow if we do not master this part.

I’ve seen this multiple times before. Women transforming into powerful entrepreneurs who are driven to show the world what they can do after seeing someone they know or someone who they can relate to achieve the same feat that they’ve always wanted to.

Success: Wealth and Independence

Jefas y Jevas was born as a platform to grow the number of millionaire latinas. According to the 2018 State of Women-owned Businesses Report by American Express, 400 Hispanic women-owned businesses are launched each day.  As a female business owner and serial entrepreneur, I am interested in creating a network of one million latinx women business founders in growth or acceleration stages in order to share knowledge with other women and encourage their wealth and independence.

As a latina, I aim to inspire, support and give voice to more latinas business role  models.

Why do I do this?

In case you didn’t know it, latino businesses are growing at an accelerated rate–much faster than other demographics. The problem is, the percentage of businesses from the same group that reach the million mark is significantly lower. Imagine this for the female demographic, the percentage is much lower. For me, it is very important to contribute to help other women reach that goal and achieve wealth. For me, the wealth of women is a matter of gender equality. And we know that when it comes to that subject, the world still has a long way to go.

There is so much power in showing others what can be done. To all other successful female bosses out there, we are all in the right position to help others rise and reach success. I urge you to use your story, your knowledge, and your voice to do this. Show them that it’s possible. Lead them towards the right path to success.
