Does Your Home Have a “Booth of Truth”?

Hi, friends.  You look pretty today!

I wanted to talk with you about a special place in your home.  A gathering place, a cozy place.  A place that opens up conversations between family and friends.  A place that encourages evenings to turn into late nights.

At my parents’ home, we always linger around the large kitchen table.  Before our nuptuals, we would hang at Bobby’s bachelor pad in Nashville.  We’d have too many drinks, light the fire pit, and sing country music until the sun came up.  After moving to Illinois, we spent many relaxed nights at the homes of great friends.  We would eat beyond comfort, have cocktails, and hop into the hot tub or head to the back porch.  Nicole’s husband dubbed these special spots, “The Booth of Truth.”

As the weather warmed up this spring, Bobby and I were inspired to create our own B.O.T.  Last weekend we began basic installation of our own Booth of Truth.  We decided to add a table and chairs to our deck.  We are hoping to order some mason jar solar lights that I found on Etsy.  Pictures to come soon!

For now, here are some Pinterest finds to inspire your own Booth of Truth.  Enjoy!

What do you call your special gathering place?
